MOTONLINE.COM (Italy): JCI was called upon to explore recent trends in portal development for the internet through extensive research and benchmarking. Motonline will be unveiled at the Motorcycle conference in Munich this year, with its sights set on becoming the premier vertical portal for the motorcycle industry in English, German, and Italian-speaking nations.
OTTAVIA.COM: Ottavia.com enlisted the help of JCI to implement an effective strategy and business plan to raise funds for this high-end, specialty B2C start-up.
SAVVION: JCI teamed up with Savvion to organize the European distribution of the EBMS software package to potential European VARs and end-users.
GEA CONSULTING GROUP: GEA, the oldest consulting firm in Italy, enlisted
the help of John Cabot to develop an extensive report on the current state
and future trends of the eHealth Industry in the US for application in

Semiconductor Industry:
SAES GETTERS SpA (Italy): Since 1998 JCI has been engaged to support SAES' M&A and diversification efforts in the areas of Electronic Components and Semiconductor Equipment. SAES is a global leader in ultra high vacuum components, equipment and instrumentation for electronic applications. SAES is listed on both the NASDAQ (SAESY) and the Milano Stock exchange.
LPE SpA (Italy): Since 1998 JCI has been hired to develop Epitaxial Reactors sales in North America, with the aim of substantially expanding LPE's market share. John Cabot was enlisted to establish a US subsidiary, and maintain a management role of the day-to-day activities of LPE-USA. As a result of John Cabot's role, during the first two years of activity in the USA, LPE's installation base has increased from 0 to 14 reactors by the end of 2000, with sales of nearly $20,000,000.
SAL, Inc. (Vermont, USA): In 1999 JCI was responsible for placing a $600,000 convertible loan. SAL leads the development of X-ray lithography equipment, which will enable future size reduction of semiconductor devices, by creating geometries smaller than the wavelength of light.
Other Technology:
SPAL TELECOMMUNICATIONS SpA (Italy): In 1998 JCI acted as a consultant to SPAL for the acquisition of an equity position in Sense Communications A. S. Sense is a Norwegian provider of wireless and wire services across Northern Europe.
EMI, Inc. (California, USA): In 1998 JCI was engaged by EMI to write its Business Plan and to present the Company at the "Small Business Innovation Research" program (SBIR) run by the US Department of Energy. EMI is a technology leader in electromagnetic sensors for measuring the Earth's electrical resistivity in oil and mineral exploration and extraction.
BENELLI SpA (Italy): Benelli is the oldest motorcycle company still in business in Italy, and perhaps the second oldest worldwide. In 1999 JCI was engaged to assist Benelli in selecting a concept design house in California, which will develop new generations of vehicles with hybrid and electric propulsion.
RACK SYSTEM srl (Italy): In 1999 JCI was retained to prepare the market development of SAFE CRASH® in the USA. SAFE CRASH® is an innovative package that protects fire extinguishers and hoses against the aggression of natural agents, and eliminates the risk of injury when trying to access the emergency equipment.
Financial:
CREDIT SUISSE: John Cabot worked with Credit Suisse Asset Management in Switzerland to arrange financing for a west coast company in the video chip sector. As a result of this collaboration, $5.4 million in financing was arranged.
